well, well, well…

finally here i am, with a template chosen and all gussied-up, and wondering what to write…

why don’t i start with a subject that has really been preoccupying me a lot lately (no, not my non-existent love-life; i’ll get to that some other time): there is a severe garlic shortage here in thailand! god help us!

this is pretty much like a soy-sauce shortage in japan, or a ketchup shortage in the U.S. in other words, a national culinary emergency.

what to do???

“People today have fewer and fewer choices to eat garlic grown in Thailand, and this significantly affects food’s taste. One third of all garlic available here is no longer grown in Thailand but imported – a lot of it from China,” a study said.
